Wells

ADULT/SENIOR £26   CHILD £16 - LONG DAY (SOUTH)

Albeit it is compact with cobbled streets, medieval architecture and a market square, it is indeed a city and the smallest in England.

Wells has much to offer whatever the season and why not start with a visit to the Bishop’s Palace and then pop into its neighbour, Wells Cathedral. The Cathedral is famed for its magnificent West Front, featuring over 300 statues and carvings; the inverted scissor arches of the nave and one of the oldest working mechanical clocks. The medieval, cobbled Vicars’ Close is a must see! And of course, as we visit on a Wednesday, you can pop along to the Somerset Farmers Market, which is a real treat.
