Historical evidence of Roman settlement can be found all over the city, including some Roman baths, a city wall, an amphitheatre which is now a park and the old Roman road State Street linking Chichester with London.
Don’t forget to also pay a visit to the Bishop’s Palace Gardens, which are located next to Chichester Cathedral and are the perfect place to unwind.
The Palace Gardens consist of 14 acres filled with herbaceous borders, and features including the Rose Pergola, Arboretum, Walled and Wildlife Garden. The historic cathedral city of Chichester combines all the attractions of a thriving urban centre with the remains of Roman streets, walls and gateways.

AVAILABILITY: There are a limited number of places available, which are allocated on a 'first come first served basis'. Our day trips are organised on the basis that a minimum number of persons will travel. If we receive insufficient bookings then we may cancel the trip in which case we will notify you 7 days before departure.
