The house of the Tailor of Gloucester was thought to be Beatrix Potter’s favourite tale. She was inspired by the true story of a local tailor and went to visit him in his shop, which and is now a museum and shop, which you’ll find right by Gloucester Cathedral.
Gloucester Cathedral's cloisters rose to fame when they appeared in Harry Potter and Blackfriar’s Priory Scriptorium is the oldest and most well preserved medieval library in Britain.
If you are interested in learing a little more about Gloucester head to one of the many museums including the National Museum of Gloucester or Beatrix Potter's House of the Tailor or the National Waterways Museum.
